Best restaurant of our week here. Not perfect but very good . The rack of lamb, Fettuccine Alfredo and ahi tuna steak were excellent! Very Good flavor without being over assuming. Bok choy that was served with tuna was tough, and dim sum app was boring. Pasta fagioli was a bit spicy, perfect for me, not much for daughter. Excellent chocolate creme Brule desert. Service by Robert was perfect. Made the dinner special. Price on higher side, but commensurate with food, atmosphere and great view.
Had a wonderful evening at the restaurant in a party of 10. Delicious food, good wine, lovely views and decor. Want to send thanks and kudos to our server, JASMINE, who did an amazing job. She should be employee of the month for sure.

our first impression when we walked in were not good. the corner by the windows smelled very strongly of urine. the reason for it was never explained, but I noticed another post here from someone who was at the restaurant 2 days prior with the same complaint. id like to know what the problem was.. if it was a bathroom plumbing problem, we should have been told about it so we could have made our own decision to go elsewhere. we had a reservation, and were not able to sit at the windows, even tho there was no one there.. i stood up to shoot a quick pic outside of the bay since we couldnt sit there, the hostess rudely told me to 'sit down' so that she could seat the couple who came in. the food was very good. the wasabe mashed potatoes were unique. i had the salmon, and it was excellent. our waitress was professional. they were kind enough to snap a few pics of the customers at our tables since a few were requesting them. but, based on our experience, & the stench, id def. find somewhere else to go.. too bad Moores closed.

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant, the management, and staff! We had our reception dinner for our wedding here 5-2-15 and it was honestly absolutely perfect! They don't open until later in the day but owner sandy allowed us to come in at 9 am to decorate and arrange the tables how ever we pleased. She was amazing even gave us some good helpful tips! The table and whole area turned out looking amazing! The food was perfect! From the lobster spring rolls to the filet nothing bad!! Oh and you can't forget the view it was absolutely stunning as the sun was setting. Trust me you won't be disappointed!!!

Ah all the food is so great! We got the lobster spring rolls to start off with. There wasn't a ton of lobster, but that's to be expected and the dipping sauce was surprisingly flavorful. I split the shrimp linguine and it was enough for two. The shrimp were nice and big and soo good. We also split the chocolate lave cake and to be frank you're better off getting the one from chili's instead...nothing remarkable. I liked how this place was off the beaten path and the view from our table was so pretty. We saw a lovely sunset. The service was a little bit lacking. When we walked in with a reservation I asked the hostess if we could have a seat by the window (and the place was wide open at this point) and she said I'll be leading you and just sat us somewhere without asking how that was or anything so that was a little bit annoying. Our server was sweet though. Oh, also bread comes out first and the olive oil is delicious.

Hands down my favorite place in Longboat Key. Absolutely stunning views of the bay and beautiful ambiance. I'm 29 and went with my 95 year old grandmother and 65 year old mother and everyone was beyond happy. Appetizers are big and rich, delicious! Ahi tuna wonton tacos were excellent! Side of wasabi mashed potatoes were fabulous. Lamb and swordfish were great. Highly recommend. Average of about $10-15 for an appetizer and $35 for entree and well worth every penny if you want high quality food.

It's been our go to restaurant for special occasions for a couple of years sadly we are moving on along with our friends had plans to go there in a few weeks with 4 other couples for a B Day however there are other places that care more and the awesome food doesn't make up for all the other things that the don't fix .. A group of 6 of us dined at PG's Saturday night, 12/27/14. Delicious: Miso glazed sea bass, minced chicken lettuce wraps, lamb To pass on: tuna tar tar app, brussels sprouts side Not sure if it was just super busy because of the holidays, but the restaurant was seriously understaffed and the waitresses were overwhelmed and chaotic. A perfectly acceptable evening.

I enjoyed my meal here. I will say, the service could be improved. They were quick to take our drink orders but then disappeared for a good amount of time, to the point where the hostess or manager (not really sure her role) did a double check. Definitely props for recognizing it but the slower service (not quite as big of a gap as the initial) continued for the rest of the meal. I really enjoyed my food. The portions are quite large and were tasty. I would definitely give it another try and see if the service was just an off night.

Went here twice, so it can't be too bad. Had some amazing Snapper. The other dishes- meh. Kind of a retirement-fla crowd. But the view is amazing. You won't see that view without a reservation, though.

My wife and I had a romantic dinner here the other night. The view was spectacular, the service attentive, and the food superb. I had the Chilean Sea Bass and my wife had the Tuna. The Sea Bass came in a soup, which I would not have ordered had I known, but which was flavorful, tender, and delicious. The tuna was tasty as well, though my wife likes hers more done than do I. The wasabi mashed potatoes were tasty too. If I go again, I might try the Brazilian lobster, which I saw plated for someone else, and which looked delicious. One of the nicest things about Pattigeorge's, which isn't uncommon in this part of Florida, is the beautiful view of the inter coastal waterway and the view of the boats docked behind the restaurant. The waitress did a fine job of being attentive but not bothersome. I would visit Pattigeorge's again and I highly recommend it.

They have the most beautiful location! We were there right when they opened so we got a table right by the front window overlooking the marina. We shared a bottle of the bartenders favorite white wine (Californian at $50). For starters: Hummer spring rolls - delicious! Seabass almost melted in mouth. Risotto was delicious! The pad thai is bottomless so prepare for a box to bring home! Honestly, I ate until I couldn't eat more and still the bowl was far from empty. After this we were full and shared the most delicious Chocolate volcano w raspberry. We completed the perfect meal with dessert drinks. If you don't care for sweet drinks - you should pass on these! We had the best waitress ever! She even came after us after we'd paid because the cheque was wrong. The machine had accidentally added 18% tips as many restaurants in the US do for any party of 6 and more. (we were just a couple) The funny thing is we didn't even noticed this and still were very satisfied with the dinner and cost... ;) Yes, it is pricey but worth the money! Accepts AMEX.

I ordered grouper with mashed brussel sprouts. Fish smelled fishy, and everything including the fish was so salty I gagged. Left it. Waitress never asked us how we liked it. We shared our concern with the woman who took away the dish because the waitress was busy. Instead for r anniversary she gave us a tiramisu that was stiff like a corpse. horrible. Won't be back. Dined july 17th 2014. Off season must not be the time to come.

This was our first dining experience at PG and it will definitely NOT be the last. Some of the previous reviews had us worried, yet our service and food were excellent. Our server was Katherine who was knowledgeable and made several good recommendations. We had the Sea Bass with Miso, Fettuccini with Shrimp, and the Snapper prepared specially. Everyone raved about their meal. All this while enjoying a great view. We will return

We hesitated eating at PG's after reading some of the reviews but decided to try it anyway. We couldn't have been more pleased. Everyone was very gracious and welcoming, wait staff prompt but didn't try to hurry us. We had lobster rolls for appetizer, Chilean sea bass for entree and finished with cappuccinos and key lime pie for dessert. We shared everything and there was plenty of food for both. Delicious!

Just another average meal. Service was good, but not spectacular. Chilean sea bass was somewhat flavorless for "the signature dish". Filet was very good quality, but the sauce & mushrooms took away from the natural beauty of that cut of beef. Very busy, AND very noisy. It was impossible to carry on a conversation. I'm happy they are so successful.

We had a 7:30 reservation on a weekday night and Pattigeorge's was busy. Service was friendly and prompt, a good start. However, when our waitress brought the main dish before I'd had the time to enjoy my cocktail -- she praised the efficiency of the kitchen -- I'd call it a major flaw in the overall experience. Not sure this pace wouldn't be a plus for the retired Floridians, but we got the feeling Pattigeorge's wants to turn over their tables as quickly as possible. We had the Pad Thai and Myakka Ranch Steak. Both entrees were delicious and servings provided leftovers for a second meal. Our Bloody Marys were great. Too bad we felt so rushed!

We ate at Pattigeorge's on 9/14/13, looking forward to a great meal and great service. Unfortunately, those expectations were not met. We walked in and there was no record of our reservation. (later we found out it had been on the books for either the next day or the day after). We were then shown to a table in the corner, which was a little crowded for our table of 4, but okay. About 10-15 minutes passed before our waiter graced us with his presence (because that is how he acted). That was a preview of the lengthy delays we were to experience throughout the meal. We all ordered the same meal-yellowfin tuna, but we had differing requests for how cooked it should be. 2 people wanted it cooked as little as possible and the other 2 asked for it to be cooked more. When the food came, the server plopped them all down and when I asked how he knew which was which, he just laughed. One of the people who asked for it very rare was served a piece that was cooked much more than mine was and the rest were barely cooked. By the time dinner was served, I started timing the server's appearances at our table. And the wait between dinner and his taking our dessert order was 20 minutes. Our water was never refilled. Overall we were there more than two hours. In summary, the food was okay (although the Thai Noodle Bowl had virtually no taste), but not deserving of the raves or the prices. The service was terrible. The server's attitude and the long, long lapses between his condenscending visits to our table really detracted from an otherwise average meal. Our prior 2 visits to this restaurant were quite good, but the most recent one before this was about 3 years ago. So, maybe we will wait another 3 years and things will be better. For now, it is not a restaurant I recommend.

We're out-of-towners who save their $ and visit Longboat Key every other year. We have visited three times now and this is by far our favorite place. Ambiance is romantic. Service is cheerful and encouraging (no snobs in sight!). Food is best in town and is lower in cost then you would expect for this kind of quality. Double bravo!

A fantastic bayside gem with great food choices that are reasonably priced. An interesting blend of Italian and Asian flavors make this a very unique place to review. There are not so many restaurants to compare it to. You won't find many places with "Palermo Pad Thai" but it was fantastic here. We enjoyed views of the bay with manatees playing in the water just outside our window. Desserts didn't disappoint either. The service was also very good! This is a must go kind of place if you are visiting LBK from out of town or should be on your "regular" list if you are local.

UPDATE****UPDATE*****UPDATE**** I know this restaurant has been around for many years (at least 20) and so my disappointment from our previous visit needed to be explored again. I was over in LBK visiting friends and they had made a rez here. We decided that after 4 years, there had to be a change. so we went. great news!!!! we had a wonderful dinner! the ambience is still fantastic, if only we could have had a table with a view, but at the height of the season, advance request is needed. the place was packed. our wait staff was excellent, no hovering, constant attention at the right moments, beautiful glass of sauvignon blanc to start out and some fresh bread and olive oil. the menu is so interesting (which is what drew us back there) and we started with the calamari which was crisp, tasty and tender. next up, ceasar salad. my only complaint is it was a bit mediocre but forgiveably so. my lamb chops were heaven!!! very generous portion (i only say that when i'm hungry!!) and cooked to perfection. my friend's paella was not your standard fare, and she was in love. i highly recommend a stop here, btw, not inexpensive by any means, but a lovely evening was had by all and i'm happy to go back again!

This place was recommended to me by my parents but I was not impressed. The staff was not very pleasant from the get go and the atmosphere was pretty stuffy. The chicken lettuce cups at PF Changs are 10 times better than the ones we had here. I ordered the sea bass which was good but didn't come with any sides. My boyfriend had the filet which was flavorless. We were pretty disappointed since it was an expensive dinner. I don't mind spending money on a great meal but this was def not worth it. Go to Ophelia's instead for better food, better service and a bettter view.

Had dinner at this restaurant tonight. Some nice hits and some major misses. Our server, Joe, was terrific with his recommendations. He steered us in the right direction with our entrees. The setting is really nice...I was hesitant to choose the East side of Gulf of Mexico vs the West side, but it's really a pretty setting. The ambiance and prices set our expectations high. My husband enjoyed his caesar salad but my spinach salad was drowning in dressing. It was good, but not so creative. Spinach, chopped tomatoes, handfuls of pinenuts and goat cheese. Hubbie had the tuna which he loved and I had the paella which was fantastic - and a HUGE portion. We were SO eager to finish our meal with key lime pine and cappuccino....but alas, no key lime and the kitchen had no milk to make a cappuccino. really? OK, I can understand if your delivery person didn't bring in the pies (not your fault, but no back-up?) but not having milk to make cappuccino?? that's just really lazy and sloppy. There's just a missing sophistication that is expected when dining at a restaurant like this. Too bad...with a little effort it could be really terrific.

I think the menu was great and the atmosphere and view were outstanding. I liked what we ordered but would really like to come back and try some other dishes from the menu but only in Fla for a short amount of time so maybe next trip. My only complaint was that we felt rushed by the server.

What a lovely evening we had at Pattigeorge's! We watched the moon rise while we munched on the lobster spring rolls and the fired calamari with the delicious cilantro dipping sauce. Everything was fresh and great but a couple of standouts from our table included: the Parmesan truffle French fries-- Amazing-- the fried banana with caramel sauce & vanilla ice cream, and the marvelous wine recommended by the waiter, Bob who was unfailingly prompt with good suggestions and great service. A great night out.

Love this place and go at least once every time I'm in Longboat or Sarasota. You walk in and an intimate bar crowd is right there to greet you, then you step down to be seated at a table with a great view of the boats docked on the water. The Chef, Tommy Klauber, regularly comes out to greet the guests and the menu is updated often with impressive dishes.

Overall very good, but not great. First, a minor gripe. We arrived 15 minutes early. Our table was ready. But, the hostess insisted on seating the two groups that came in after us, first, because they had earlier reservations. It seemed they were regulars and got better treatment, and it felt rude to be left standing in the foyer as groups behind us were seated. Once we got to our table, the service was fine. My wife's stir-fry was overly salted, as was the lettuce-wrap appetizer, but my miso-marinated sea bass was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The setting is intimate and attractive. Nice place for a couple.

I've been in Sarasota for a couple days now and well as always when somewhere new I look on Yelp to see where a good place to go eat may be. There aren't a lot of restaurant reviews in Sarasota so this made it harder to choose! One of the restaurants with the most reviews though was Pattigeorge's or PG's as the restaurant calls itself. The drive was pretty out of the way like everyone before me commented, but in actuality it isn't that far. Maybe a 15-20 min drive from the airport. Not bad at all for good food! Upon arriving to the restaurant I wasn't sure it was still open. Its got a dim lit atmosphere to it and there were hardly any cars parked out front. I had seen the Chart House a few miles back and contemplated going there since you can never go wrong with that place and their parking lot was packed. I decided to go into PG's anyways. I walked in and it wasn't very crowded at all...this worried me even more. Why would such a good restaurant be so empty? Later I would come to the conclusion that PG's must be a well kept secret/hidden gem. I walked in and one of the hosts directed me to my table. It was a cute little table next to the large windows overlooking the water. It was a beautiful view...the host was not lying when he said best view in the house! Most of the other tables in that area had that same view just out a different window. I was already feeling good about my choice to stay. The menu is fairly small which makes it easier to decide although most everything looked good! I ordered the Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass (Lobster Consomme, Fresh Fennel and Carrots) as my waitress said it was one of the most popular dishes. The host would later come around to tell me that I had ordered the best dish. Again he was not lying! It was delicious...it had a lobster like texture and amazing flavor. The Asian fusion was wonderful! Last of all I ordered the Vanilla Infused Creme Brulee and it was very good. It had some whipped cream on it and an assortment of berries in the corner next to the whipped cream. Definitely a good way to end my meal! I had a great experience at PG's, the staff was very friendly and the service was very quick! I would definitely suggest Pattigeorge's to anyone in the area...

Knowing that we would be in Longboat Key for a friend's wedding in November, I searched Yelp for fun places to eat. We decided on Pattgeorge's and we were not disappointed! I will note that our group was probably the youngest in the whole place, but that is to be expected I think in Florida in the colder months. :) Our waitress (her name is escaping me right now, but she was great!) even brought us a free appetizer and commented that she was so excited see a group of young people out on the town. Haha. Our wines (a Malbec from Argentina and a Sauvignon Blanc from NZ) were delicious and both well under $40 apiece, and a few of us enjoyed specialty cocktails. The food was delicious. Seafood is their speciality, and you really can't go wrong with any of the seafood dishes on the menu. We all passed tasting samples around the table, and everything was delicious.

A little more out of the way then I had originally thought, this place proved worth the drive. I didn't see any dolphins swim by in the kinda murky water outside, but the view was amazing and the dining room was perfectly designed for gazing out over the water. The food was well prepared and tasty. The waitstaff was super knowledgeable...she really did know everything about every dish. That was awesome! I so enjoy that in a restaurant. It was totally an older crowd inside, but that was fine with us. I went here last week while on a work trip in Sarasota. It was a quick ride to get there, no problem. I totally expected "early birds", but that was not the case at all. Most people showed up well after 7pm, wow! We got there at 6pm and were greeted by the resident kitty cat, didn't see him in the dining room though... maybe he works the pest control department, I dunno. But the Asian inspired menu was quite diverse... Thai, Chinese, Japanese, and even a little American. Great food, good atmosphere, beautiful views.... it was a perfect dinner. I'll be back :)

Great place on Longboat key. I took my fiancé there after we got engaged that very morning. I had the tuna and she had their chicken. Both dishes were amazing. I emailed them saying that we would be coming after getting engaged and they prepared a special desert for my fiancé (now wife) :) She thought it was the sweetest thing ever. Best part of the night? We had a table by the window and there was a rainbow right outside! We would definitely recommend this place to our friends and family.

Nice dinner, very good service. Staff seems to be proud of their work.

Keep it up, always delicious!!!

Nice atmosphere and decent food. Employees seems uncaring and distracted. Maybe even stoned?!

Went to PG's last week,,,really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Service was really good ,,,our waiter (Bob)...was very entertaining. Will go back next time i'm in the area. Would recommend as most other restaurants in the area are lacking compared to PG's... JT

Nice view. Good food. Reasonably priced. Our waiter Nicholas was attentive without being obtrusive. We will go back.

We had dinner at Pattigeorge's last night and it was outstanding. With such great service and wonderful food, it's rapidly becoming our favorite restaurant on Longboat Key for a super dinner with gorgeous views of the bay.

A restaurant with an attitude. Food varies in quality from night to night. Either very good once in 4 times or 3 our 4 below par. Little pricey and tends to give only good service to the regs.

First time here, found this place on open table. A little far out there, but good food. Try the tuna tartare tacos and the pan seared grouper!

Quality and consistency is why I keep coming back. Fresh menu and excellent wine list.
